September Is Here!

Greetings my Brothers and Sisters and friends. I want to share some information that may be of use to you for this first weekend in September. THIS SUNDAY, Jr. Church will begin afresh at FBC. The kids will have their own service in Fellowship Hall during the 10:30 service, so if you want to participate in Jr. Church, you’ll need to plan on that 2nd service, and not the 9:00 service. When you arrive, take the kids directly to Fellowship…

Autumn Approaches!

I’m really looking forward to autumn this year. September is always a big month for our church, and this year will be no different. September 6th, during the 10:30 service Junior Church will be restarting. Parents, if you’ve been hesitant to return to worship because of a lack of the children’s offerings, the 6th will be your day! Bring them to the 10:30 service and they will have their own service in Fellowship Hall. If you would like to help…

Who Wants to Ride?

If the weather forecast doesn’t change, Saturday looks to be a nice day to drag out the motorcycles and ride. Join us at 2:00 on the 20th? Bring a little cash for food, as we’ll stop to grab something on the way back. We’ll observe the requisite social distancing rules, so this should be a nice safe way to fellowship with your brothers and sisters. See you Saturday!

Beginning Again!

Finally… after about 3 months of separation, we meet again! And oh how we look forward to seeing all of you again. We need each other. I recently read a Tweet from Mark Dever that really struck home to me. Mark is pastor of Capital Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. and a well known speaker at conferences around the country. Mark’s Tweet said, “I’m not planning on tweeting much this week. I’m away with Connie for our anniversary. I…

Family Worship for May 31, 2020

Hopefully, this will be the last of these posts. Unless something changes dramatically with the COVID19 situation, we will be meeting back at the church starting next Lord’s Day. For those who cannot join us in person, or are ill or at risk, we will continue to offer an online option via Youtube Live, though, for the foreseeable future. We will hold 2 services starting next Sunday. Those whose last names begin with A-K may join us at 9:00 AM,…

Family Worship for May 24, 2020

Happy Memorial Day weekend. Remember to thank the Lord for those who gave their all so we might have freedom. Memorial Day is not about thanking all those who served. Rather, it’s about remembering all those who died that we might live. After today, we will have only one more of these family worship outlines. Once we begin meeting in person on June 7th, the format of the online portion may change a bit. Watch the church website for details…

Weekend Update

Well Brothers and Sisters, it’s the beginning of Holy Week this coming Sunday – Palm Sunday. The service will be similar to what we’ve done the last two weeks. I’ll send you a suggested outline to follow as you gather in your homes to worship, and there is a video portion to the service that will be included. Usually we have palm branches to wave as we remember Christ entering Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday. We won’t have those…
