All You Christmas Decorating Fiends…

It’s YOUR TIME! Some of you couldn’t wait until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas music and decorating. Some of you were itching to put up your tree before Halloween had passed. And I know of at least one particular establishment in the area that had Christmas trees in place in AUGUST!!! So, those of you who so love decorating, come and help us decorate the Lord’s house this Saturday, November 30, at 1:00. The “Hanging of the Greens” goes…

Euphorbia pulcherrima

Or… as it’s commonly called – POINSETTIA. If you’d like to purchase one or more to help decorate the church, you need to do so no later than this coming Lord’s Day (December 2nd). Once Christmas services are over, the flowers you purchased are yours to keep.  Order forms are in the church foyer:

Home Stretch!!!!

So far we’ve packed and / or collected 1500+ boxes for Operation Christmas Child. If you’ve packed your own box or boxes, there are just a few more times left to bring it to the church and have it included before we deliver them to the collection point on Monday. Remaining times for collection: Friday, November 22, 4-6PM Saturday, November 23, 10-12PM and 4-6PM Sunday, November 24, 1-3PM Monday, November 25, 9-11AM

Messy Stalls

Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. (Proverbs 14:4 KJV) That verse reminds me that if you’re going to get things done for Jesus, sometimes it’s going to get messy! And this is a messy busy fascinating weekend coming up. Operation Christmas Child collection week is in full swing. There are boxes everywhere! And more coming in through Sunday when collection ends and we load the final boxes in…

Pack Pack Pack

It’s here! The 2019 Operation Christmas Child packing party will be tomorrow (Saturday, November 16th) at 10:00 AM. Come help us pack boxes, filled up with gifts, full of joy,  bearing the gospel, packed with love, and sent off with prayer. Only when we get to heaven will we know what impact each of these gift boxes had for souls. Will you join us?

Just in case you didn’t see this…

The pastor’s latest book is out and available on Amazon. com. It contains 433 pages of his thoughts on the gospel of Mark. There are a limited number of copies available through the church for his cost ($7.50). Operation Christmas Child activities are in full swing this week and throughout November. Tomorrow (Friday, November 1) is the first of three Assembly Parties at the church. We will be assembling shoeboxes, and gifts to put in those boxes. Fun and fellowship…

Bacon and Eggs and Sausage – OH MY!

Yes… that’s right. The date we men have been waiting for all summer is finally upon us! This coming Saturday morning at 8:00, we shall once again rejoice to attend Men’s Prayer Breakfast!
