Campfire Time!

Big stuff happening this weekend! Have you driven by the church and noticed the walls rising? Praise the Lord for His oversight, and for the help of so many of you who came and assembled the blocks for those walls this week. It’s truly wonderful and amazing to see what can be done in a short time by a committed group of God’s people! Young and old helped. And up go the walls. Today is dear sweet Esther Smith’s funeral.…

With Her Lord

For those who haven’t heard, our dear sister Esther Smith is home with Jesus following a tragic car accident this past Sunday. She was in church, and then a short time later she was with Christ. Pray for the family and friends during this time. Services will be held at Grace Church in Rootstown, due to our construction issues. Our thanks go out to Grace for their hospitality. Calling hours are Thursday at Grace, from 4-7PM. Funeral is at noon…

RAIN DATE

Since we got “rained out” last Saturday, we’ll try again for the Campfire Fellowship this Sunday afternoon from 5-9 at JohnsonAcres. As always, bring a chair, and if you’re able a dish to pass. I’ll have the grill going and there will be plenty to drink. Fishing rods might be a good accessory, too! Come and enjoy some time with the church family!

IT BEGINS

Just a reminder – this is what was before we started.   And here’s where we are at the end of day 1:

A Few Reminders and Clarifications for the Weekend:

Saturday at 8:00 AM – Men’s Prayer Breakfast in Fellowship Hall. There was some confusion as we had to change the date this month, but it’s ON. Bring your appetite and your Bible and let’s engage in a little iron sharpening. Saturday at 5:00 PM – Campfire Fellowship at Johnson Acres. Bring a chair on which to rest your backside, and a dish to pass. Bring your fishing pole if you want to fish. Meat and drink will already be…

Joy!

This weekend is a joyous occasion – the return to a single worship service on Sundays at FBC. Our new (actually old) schedule will now be: Sunday School at 9:30 AM Morning Worship at 10:30 AM The original seating arrangement in the sanctuary has been restored, and activities of the church are returning to normal. We still advise caution and common sense with respect to masks and social distancing. Please take responsibility for your own health and use masks and…

Just Around the Corner

Easter, that is. It’s just around the corner, and we are so looking forward to being able to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord together. Here are the plans for Easter: Saturday, March 27th – Men’s Prayer Breakfast followed by spring clean up day (Rain date for the clean up is Saturday, April 3rd.) Sunday, March 28th – Palm Sunday – Pastor Phil Ross will be preaching in both services. Friday, April 2nd – Good Friday – Tuvya Zaretski representing…

Colossal Happenings!

Huge… enormous… immense… prodigious… gigantic… gargantuan… mammoth… cosmic! Those are a few words to describe some of the good stuff happening here at FBC over the next couple months. This Saturday we are restarting our Men’s Prayer Breakfasts! Having gone without these wonderful events for a year now, that is huge news indeed. Of course, we’re taking it slow and safe, so we’re limiting attendance to only 20. If you were one of those who managed to get on the…
