Weekend Stuff

Well here we are only into the 2nd Lord’s Day of the year, and already 2021 is turning into an interesting year. This Sunday at FBC will be an interesting one, too. Our 2 service schedule continues this week, with early worship at 8:30 and late worship at 10:30. The early service continues to be the more lightly attended, so if distancing is important to you, that’s the service to try. We have adequate spacing for the late service as…

Coming to the End!

We are coming to the end in several ways: It’s Friday – the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend. Praise the Lord it’s almost the Lord’s Day, the best day of the week and the start of a new one. It’s almost December – the end of 2020. Many will say Praise God for that. And the Scripture is clear that we’re in the last minutes. It’s almost the end of everything here as we know…

Last Chance!

This coming Lord’s Day (November 22nd) is the last Sunday you can bring in shoeboxes for this year’s Operation Christmas Child collection. If you miss the Sunday deadline, the trailer won’t leave until 11 on Monday, so you can still bring boxes from 9-11 on Monday. Then that’s it! Pack those boxes! And pray like crazy for souls to be saved by the trailer load of shoeboxes going out from this place!

Give Thanks… By Giving

We will be assembling and distributing Thanksgiving food boxes to those who need some encouragement this year. We will do this on Saturday, November 21st at 10:00 AM. We need some to help assemble the boxes and some to distribute them. We also need additional donations of some of the specific foods on this list: Additionally, we have some boxes that are not assigned to a person in need yet. Do you know somebody who could use the encouragement of…

Something for the Guys… Something for the Gals…

You’re invited: Men’s Bible Study – tonight (Thursday, November 12th at 6:30 PM). We will be blessed with some of our ladies’ fine cooking, and enjoy a time of fellowship and Bible study together. Bring your Bible! WoW (Women of the Word) – also tonight at the same time. Cook extraordinaire Kathy will give a tutorial on noodle making. In preparation ladies, ponder this question and come prepared with your answer – “Does the Bible have anything to say about…

Or… Here’s An Alternative!

If you can’t make the packing party on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM, you can still pack your own box or boxes and bring them to the church anytime between now and the end of collection week which is November 16th-23rd. All supplies are available at the church so you can pack your own box(es) and bless a child or children this Christmas with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It’s Almost Here!!!!!

Food in abundance. Lot’s of goodies to pack lots of boxes so lots of children will be blessed with the gospel this Christmas. And we have a plan in place to keep you as safe as possible while serving the Lord and packing boxes!  Join us Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM!

Prayer Meeting Update

Prayer Meeting this evening (November 11) will take place in Fellowship Hall, as the sanctuary is set up for this weekend’s Operation Christmas Child packing party. See you at 6:30 as we pray together… for one another… for our nation… for our leaders… for our world… for our needy… for so much that we need to be praying for!

Nothing Like November!

Reminders as we enter the month of November – TIME CHANGE – Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour this coming Saturday night! Otherwise you’ll be early to church! THANKSGIVING TESTIMONIES – Every Sunday during the month of November, we want to hear from some in our number who are thankful and willing to share their testimony. Would you participate? Even if you shared it one November past, we’d like to hear it again. And it’s been a…
