Prayer Meetings Are Wonderful

You don’t want to miss out on this wonderful opportunity. Prayer meetings are a time when EVERYBODY, regardless of their gifts or talents or abilities, can serve in a vital and mighty and awesome way. Whether you pray aloud or sit quietly and pray, you are personally carrying the needs of your brothers and sisters… of your church and church family… of your nation and community… of your world… to the very throne room of God and laying it at…

Walborn Celebration – TIME

Some of our ladies pointed out to me that I had scheduled the time for the Walborn fellowship too tightly against our worship service. I didn’t leave time for people to run home and change if they wanted to, or to get their food dishes ready. SO… Let’s revise the time. Rather than starting the eating and festivities at Walborn at 11:30, let’s push it back to 12:30. Plan on the burgers and dogs being ready to go then, and…

Friend Day at Friendship

Somebody has declared that August 4th is National Friends Day. That sounds like a good thing for us to take part in here at FRIENDship Bible Church! The youth will sponsor hot dog lunches (to go) including chips and drink for everyone following the morning service. The youth will also participate in much of the service. Bring your FRIENDS for FRIEND day! There will be a really cool prize for the person who brings the most 1st time visitors.

Old Fashioned Sunday – It’s Getting Close

Our Old Fashioned Sunday is around the corner – September 8th to be exact. We’re hard at work getting things ready, but we’d love to hear some of your ideas on how to make it better than ever. If you’d like to share your thoughts along those lines, there are two ways you can do so. This coming Lord’s Day (July 21st), there will be a brief brainstorming session immediately following the service. Join us there and share your thoughts…

How Much Longer?

Do you ever wonder that? How much longer before Jesus comes back and makes things right on this earth? Well, the Bible tells us three important principles to bear in mind. First, nobody knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36; Mark 13:32). Second, it is imminent. The rapture could take place at any moment, and every moment that passes makes it even more imminent. Paul said, And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to…

Who Will Go?

We are planning a short term missions trip to Haiti in the near future. An exploratory meeting will be held on July 21st immediately following the worship service for any interested individuals. There are Traveller’s Guides available at the Welcome Desk in the church foyer. If you have interest, or think you might, please take one and read it before attending the meeting on the 21st.

Countdown to Jimmy

Only a few days remain before the prophecy conference with Dr. Jimmy DeYoung. You won’t want to miss what he has to say, nor will you want to let your friends and family miss it. Invite everybody you can to this important event as Dr. DeYoung speaks on “America in Bible Prophecy.” Sunday morning at 9:30 Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 6:30

Rain or Shine!

It looks like there is a chance for rain and thunder this afternoon, but we’re going forward with the campfire fellowship at Johnson Acres. Bring a lawn chair and a dish to pass, and join us for some fun and fellowship. The grills will be hot, the fish will be jumping, and the friendships will be sweet. 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the home of Bill and Kathy Johnson. See you there!
