Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

The Amazing Journey of a Simple Shoebox Gift

Begins with You and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication

After sharing the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus said “Go and do likewise.” That is the mission of Samaritan’s Purse—to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel.

From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Year-round volunteers support these efforts across the country.

Friendship Bible Church participates in this ministry each year by collecting items and packing shoeboxes. We were able to send 1126 filled shoeboxes to the processing center in Boone, NC, December 2025, to be shipped off to children around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you to all who contributed in some way.

For more information on packing shoeboxes visit the Samaritan’s Purse website.
