FULL SPEED AHEAD!

Are you as excited about this coming Lord’s Day as I am? This Sunday, September 5th, we return to our normal schedule. Sunday School starts at 9:30 and the morning worship moves back to it’s normal 10:30 time slot. I’m so looking forward to what the Lord will do with our kids ministries, and with the adult classes. It’s gonna be good! The new building is rising at full speed behind the church, and the building of disciples for Jesus…

With Her Lord

For those who haven’t heard, our dear sister Esther Smith is home with Jesus following a tragic car accident this past Sunday. She was in church, and then a short time later she was with Christ. Pray for the family and friends during this time. Services will be held at Grace Church in Rootstown, due to our construction issues. Our thanks go out to Grace for their hospitality. Calling hours are Thursday at Grace, from 4-7PM. Funeral is at noon…

RAIN DATE

Since we got “rained out” last Saturday, we’ll try again for the Campfire Fellowship this Sunday afternoon from 5-9 at JohnsonAcres. As always, bring a chair, and if you’re able a dish to pass. I’ll have the grill going and there will be plenty to drink. Fishing rods might be a good accessory, too! Come and enjoy some time with the church family!

IT BEGINS

Just a reminder – this is what was before we started.   And here’s where we are at the end of day 1:

Joy!

This weekend is a joyous occasion – the return to a single worship service on Sundays at FBC. Our new (actually old) schedule will now be: Sunday School at 9:30 AM Morning Worship at 10:30 AM The original seating arrangement in the sanctuary has been restored, and activities of the church are returning to normal. We still advise caution and common sense with respect to masks and social distancing. Please take responsibility for your own health and use masks and…

A Slight Change Of Plans

Church Family, I had to put my father in the hospital on Sunday evening. He had basically lost the use of his legs, and couldn’t stand. Tests so far have determined that his kidneys are failing, and this may have been the cause of his problem. As is routine at hospitals now, I guess, they performed a COVID test and found that he was positive for that, as well. And, since I was with him most of Sunday afternoon and…

Just 2 Weeks Away!

RED HEART SUNDAY! We can’t gather together in a single service yet, and we can’t eat together, but we can ALL WEAR RED TOGETHER!!!! A very special gift will be available to the first 100 who attend!

Coming to the End!

We are coming to the end in several ways: It’s Friday – the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend. Praise the Lord it’s almost the Lord’s Day, the best day of the week and the start of a new one. It’s almost December – the end of 2020. Many will say Praise God for that. And the Scripture is clear that we’re in the last minutes. It’s almost the end of everything here as we know…

Last Chance!

This coming Lord’s Day (November 22nd) is the last Sunday you can bring in shoeboxes for this year’s Operation Christmas Child collection. If you miss the Sunday deadline, the trailer won’t leave until 11 on Monday, so you can still bring boxes from 9-11 on Monday. Then that’s it! Pack those boxes! And pray like crazy for souls to be saved by the trailer load of shoeboxes going out from this place!
