Are You Ready?

On that first Palm Sunday, one of the messages embedded in Jesus’ triumphal ride through the Eastern Gate atop a donkey was, “Are you ready for the King?” We ask it still today as we await His second coming. “Are you ready for the King?” He’s coming, you know! This Lord’s Day we’ll remember Palm Sunday. Will you join us? Sunday School is at 9:30 Worship Service is at 10:30

Holy Weekend

The week between Jesus’ riding into Jerusalem atop a donkey on Palm Sunday, and His crucifixion and resurrection the following weekend, is often referred to as Holy Week. Well that being the case, this weekend must certainly be Holy Weekend. There’s lots going on here at FBC as we remember and celebrate this holiest of all weekends: Good Friday Service is at 6:30 tonight, (Friday). Tuvya Zaretski of “Jews for Jesus” presents “Christ in the Passover.” Communion will conclude the…

No Prayer Meeting Tonight!

Just a quick reminder that midweek prayer this week will be replaced with the Good Friday service.  So… No prayer meeting tonight. Join us Friday at 6:30 for our Good Friday service with Tuvya Zaretski of Jews for Jesus.

Colossal Happenings!

Huge… enormous… immense… prodigious… gigantic… gargantuan… mammoth… cosmic! Those are a few words to describe some of the good stuff happening here at FBC over the next couple months. This Saturday we are restarting our Men’s Prayer Breakfasts! Having gone without these wonderful events for a year now, that is huge news indeed. Of course, we’re taking it slow and safe, so we’re limiting attendance to only 20. If you were one of those who managed to get on the…

Palm Sunday – Worship At Home Plans

For those following our in-home worship outlines, here is the service for Palm Sunday. Let us all try and participate together, whether we are with others in our family, or alone. Even alone, you can follow this outline and worship along with the rest of the church family. Suggested outline for this week: Meet at 10:30 on Sunday morning. Keep your appointment. Go around the family and share personal prayer requests. Read the Scripture for today – Mark 11:1-10, Luke…

Weekend Update

Well Brothers and Sisters, it’s the beginning of Holy Week this coming Sunday – Palm Sunday. The service will be similar to what we’ve done the last two weeks. I’ll send you a suggested outline to follow as you gather in your homes to worship, and there is a video portion to the service that will be included. Usually we have palm branches to wave as we remember Christ entering Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday. We won’t have those…
