Christmas

No End of Fun

Our ladies are sewing in support of Operation Christmas Child. They are having a blast serving Jesus!

Carols and Candles

Because of the pandemic this year, I elected to cancel our normal Christmas Eve candlelight services. Those services normally draw a large crowd, and most of that crowd is from outside our normal church family. Out of an abundance of caution, therefore, I cancelled the normal Christmas Eve candlelight services this year. Some have expressed chagrin over that decision, and our awesome worship leader Beth came up with a compromise. We will use the prayer meeting this week, which is…

Christmas Baskets – Home Stretch

Saturday at 9:00 am we will pack and distribute our Christmas boxes for those who are struggling this Christmas season. If you still want to contribute, I’ve attached the current sign up sheet so you can see what’s still needed. All contributions need to be at the church no later than noon tomorrow (Friday). There will be someone at the church from 9 – 12 if you need to drop something off. And if you can help us pack the…

Christmas Cheer

We’ve had quite a few sick and struggling this Christmas season. We usually provide Christmas food baskets to the needy, but this year we’re targetting our own who have been down with COVID or any other such thing. Two things we need: If you know anybody who is hurting because of COVID or something like it, let us know so we can try and add them to the list of recipients. If you can donate any of the remaining items…

Last Chance!

This coming Lord’s Day (November 22nd) is the last Sunday you can bring in shoeboxes for this year’s Operation Christmas Child collection. If you miss the Sunday deadline, the trailer won’t leave until 11 on Monday, so you can still bring boxes from 9-11 on Monday. Then that’s it! Pack those boxes! And pray like crazy for souls to be saved by the trailer load of shoeboxes going out from this place!

Putting It In High Gear!

Operation Christmas Child for 2020 is now speeding toward the end. Here are the important things to remember, pray about, and participate in: PACKING PARTY – This coming Saturday, November 21st at 10:00 AM. Join us as we work together to pack as many shoe boxes as we can. Knowing that this is a challenging year, the team has worked hard to make this event as safe as possible. There is a plan for maintaining distancing, and still packing A…

Or… Here’s An Alternative!

If you can’t make the packing party on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM, you can still pack your own box or boxes and bring them to the church anytime between now and the end of collection week which is November 16th-23rd. All supplies are available at the church so you can pack your own box(es) and bless a child or children this Christmas with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It’s Almost Here!!!!!

Food in abundance. Lot’s of goodies to pack lots of boxes so lots of children will be blessed with the gospel this Christmas. And we have a plan in place to keep you as safe as possible while serving the Lord and packing boxes!  Join us Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM!

Fellowships and Surveys

Two important things to bear in mind as we enter the weekend: This Saturday from 3-5PM, those who purchased pepperoni rolls in support of Operation Christmas Child may pick them up at the church. Then starting at 5PM, the last outdoor fellowship of the year, the Fall Family Fellowship, will take place in the area behind the cemetery next to the church. Bring a lawn chair, a dish to pass, and dress warm. We’ll roast weenies, have some games for…

Let’s Build Stuff!

This Saturday, October 10th at 10AM, we will be having the first ASSEMBLY DAY for Operation Christmas Child. If you’d like to help us put together some of the gifts we will be including in the shoe boxes this year, please join us in Fellowship Hall. OCC will look different this year, but there are multiple ways to participate. This is one of them. Packing your own boxes is another. We have loads of boxes and you can take as…
