Guidelines During COVID

As we return to a single service format, here is some information you need to be aware of. We will observe the following guidelines for every meeting at the church: Please only enter through the FRONT DOOR of the building (facing Rt. 44) and only exit through the main door (by the flagpole). Please abide by the 6 foot social distancing rule, with the only exception being those in your immediate family. Masks are at your discretion. If you’re not…

National Day of Prayer!

No prayer meeting this evening (Wednesday, May 5th), but join us instead from 5-8PM tomorrow (Thursday, May 6th) for the National Day of Prayer. The church will be open between 5-8PM and you may come and pray anytime and for any length of time during those hours. My how our country needs prayer… how our culture needs prayer… how our neighbors need prayer… how our families need prayer. Join your FBC brothers and sisters and PRAY!

Feeding the Hungry

Join our Haven of Rest team as they setup and serve the homeless in the Akron area. They meet the first Saturday of every month at the Haven of Rest in Akron. Meet at 10AM, and you’re usually done by 11:30 or so. If you have questions, you can ask the Paul Richards family or the Cannon family or the Edwards family. And remember – wear a hat!

Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?

(Extra points if you can remember not only the TV show, but also the character that used to say that line!) But it’s not tool time… it’s PRAYER MEETING TIME! Join us tonight at 6:30 as we pray for one another. So many requests, and so little time left to pray for others. Prayer costs nothing, but accomplishes more than if it cost billions. “Become an expert in prayer during times of calm so that you can pray like an…

Holy Weekend

The week between Jesus’ riding into Jerusalem atop a donkey on Palm Sunday, and His crucifixion and resurrection the following weekend, is often referred to as Holy Week. There’s lots going on here at FBC as we remember and celebrate this holiest of all weekends: Good Friday Service is at 6:30 tonight, (Friday). Tuvya Zaretski of “Jews for Jesus” presents “Christ in the Passover.” Communion will conclude the…

No Prayer Meeting Tonight!

Just a quick reminder that midweek prayer this week will be replaced with the Good Friday service.  So… No prayer meeting tonight. Join us Friday at 6:30 for our Good Friday service with Tuvya Zaretski of Jews for Jesus.

No End of Fun

Our ladies are sewing in support of Operation Christmas Child. They are having a blast serving Jesus!
