It’s Christmas Time!

Christmas Eve services – 6:30 PM. Music, communion, candle light. Christmas Day services – 10:30 AM, simple carols and the story of Christmas. This service will be no longer than an hour, so give the Savior that hour and celebrate His birth in His house! (NOTE that there is no Sunday School this week.) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11 KJV)

With Her Lord

We rejoice with our sweet sister Edna Siciliano who is home with Jesus now. She passed into glory Monday night. We also grieve with her family and loved ones who grieve her loss. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7PM and the funeral will be held Friday at 11AM, at Woods Funeral Home in Ravenna.

Back to Church Sunday – The Video

We were not able to live stream Sunday’s service, but we did record it and it is now available on Youtube for any who missed the service. Click Here for the video. Because it was recorded in a horse arena with the doors all wide open for ventilation, the lighting was not great for a video. Apologies for that. And a HUGE thank you to all who worked so hard to make Back to Church Sunday a day that honored…

Weekend Update

Some good stuff happening this weekend: Tonight (Thursday) 6:30 PM (Well, technically not the weekend, but I’ll include it anyway.) – MEN’S BIBLE STUDY at the Johnson home. I had planned to make pizza on the grill for this, but the weather does not look like it will be cooperating, so Kathy will make something for the guys to eat, instead. I know… you’re truly disappointed. 😉 Whether you’ve attended these studies in the past or not, please join us…

Weekend Update – June 21

A lot is happening this weekend at FBC! Saturday, June 20 – Pray for the Egli family, as the memorial service for Bud’s wife Linda takes place at 11:00 AM. Linda passed away in March, and the COVID shutdown caused the postponement of the memorial service until now.   Also Saturday, those wanting to ride motorcycles, meet in the church lot at 2:00 PM. (PLEASE NOTE THIS TIME. I had it listed at two different times, but THIS IS THE…

My Golden Anniversary!

Here is my favorite once-a-year post! This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. (I Timothy 1:15 NKJV) I’ve published this same blog posting for the last few years. Each year it gets more precious. Praise the Lord. It was May 3, 1970. In just 24 hours one of this area’s most well-known historical events would occur – the shootings at Kent State…

MEN!

It’s time! 8:00 on Saturday morning. DON’T MISS IT!

Let’s Tear Things Up!

The race track is cooled off, the cars are parked, the kids are all raced out, and the workers are wore to a frazzle. FBC VBS is now in the past. But there is still one last task looming. It’s tear down time. Some of us will gather at the church today (Monday) at 3:00 to tear down the set and restore the sanctuary to normal. Can you help? It doesn’t take long when we have a good group helping.…
