DELIVERED

The trailer load of supplies has been successfully delivered to those in need in Kentucky. Thank you to all who donated from Friendship Bible Church, from Atwater Congregational Church, Wellspring Bible Church, Alliance Pregnancy Center, and Liberty Bible Church. May God use these gifts to help those who most need them. And may God richly bless all who gave to this important cause.

Loaded and Ready to Go!

The trailer is full, and our driver, Brother Don Ellis, is ready to roll. One last thing is needed, besides lots of prayers for God to use this effort for His glory and to help hurting people: we need one or two brothers or sisters who would be willing to travel down with Don and help him unload. Let me (Pastor) know if you’re able to help with that!

Kentucky Update

Several things to note regarding our upcoming trip to Kentucky with supplies and aid for tornado victims: If you want to give financially to this project, please make the check out to the church and note in the memo that it is for Kentucky or Tornado relief. Please try and have all donations in to the church by this Sunday, December 26th, so that we have time to purchase supplies with it. If you want to purchase supplies on your…

Let’s Go To Kentucky!

When the church in Jerusalem was hurting, other churches gave and sent supplies to help. Currently, there are many people in the Kentucky area who are desperately in need of help following the terrible tornadoes that devastated their homes and towns. We are planning to help by filling the church trailer with needed supplies and taking it to them. Here’s how you can participate: Purchase needed supplies and bring them to the church. See the list below for the supplies…

R.O.N.O.P.A.A.T. – Have you signed up yet?

Dear FBC Family, We recently began a program that the Lord has laid heavily on my heart – R.O.N.O.P.A.A.T. – Reaching Our Neighbors One Prayer At A Time. You may remember some years ago we had R.R.O.D.A.A.T. which was Reaching Randolph One DOOR At A Time. We managed to cover a good portion of Randolph in that effort, but participation was minimal and we eventually put that program to rest. However, I recently became aware of a way that we…

Feeding the Hungry

Join our Haven of Rest team as they setup and serve the homeless in the Akron area. They meet the first Saturday of every month at the Haven of Rest in Akron. Meet at 10AM, and you’re usually done by 11:30 or so. If you have questions, you can ask the Paul Richards family or the Cannon family or the Edwards family. And remember – wear a hat!

Nursing Home Ministry Restart!

Our ministry to Vista Veranda in Ravenna has been on hold since COVID shut it down a year ago. However, the residents have now all been vaccinated and we are being asked to restart those services. There is still a mask requirement, and normal social distancing, but we can now hold services indoors in the common area. Only 2 are allowed to participate at a time currently, but hopefully that restriction will soon lift as well. Please see the pastor…

Food Distribution Plans – 3/27/2020

We have a good problem – too many people showing up to help with this service! So I’d like to split into two teams, one for the Friday distribution and one for the Tuesday distribution. I’ve asked the Methodist Church to do the same, so we should be better able to have opportunity for all who are present to serve. SO… please email or text me and let me know whether you would prefer to work on Tuesday or Friday…

Food Distribution Update

Those who wish to help with the distribution of food to the children of Waterloo, don’t forget to meet at the church tomorrow (Tuesday) about 10:30. Food and routes should be available about that time for those who wish to drive and make deliveries. Those wanting to distribute food from the church will do so from 11-12PM. The same schedule will be in place for Friday. And thank you in advance, all you who are willing so serve the community…

Leftover Food!

Good afternoon, Church Family, Thanks to all who helped deliver food this morning, and hung around to distribute food to those who might show up here. We have a lot of food left over, however, and need to distribute it to anybody and everybody who has need. If you need one of the bags of food, please come to the church and get it. First come first served. If you know of somebody in need, please come to the church…
