Phase 3 HOME STRETCH Tasks as of May 26, 2022

A couple needed cleanup tasks today. If you can help TODAY, please drop by the church and help with: Carpet protectors need laid down on the carpet in the new hallway and new Sunday School rooms. This is a simple job that anybody can do, but needed to keep the carpet clean while we’re still working in those areas. Gym area needs cleaned and stuff needs carried to the dumpster. This is, again, simple stuff that anybody can do. If…

R.O.N.O.P.A.A.T. – Have you signed up yet?

Dear FBC Family, We recently began a program that the Lord has laid heavily on my heart – R.O.N.O.P.A.A.T. – Reaching Our Neighbors One Prayer At A Time. You may remember some years ago we had R.R.O.D.A.A.T. which was Reaching Randolph One DOOR At A Time. We managed to cover a good portion of Randolph in that effort, but participation was minimal and we eventually put that program to rest. However, I recently became aware of a way that we…

BIG WEEKEND

A couple of really cool things are happening this weekend at FBC: The first Campfire Fellowship is happening on Saturday at 5PM. These things are always wonderful opportunities to get to know the church family better in a “non-churchy” setting. Bring a lawn chair a dish to pass if you’re able (if not don’t worry for there’s always plenty of food), and plan on having a fun filled and food filled time with your brothers and sisters in Christ. We…

Shall We Gather At The River (or pond)?

This evening we will baptizing our sister Chloe Dean at the Ross pond. It would be wonderful to have some of the church family join us and rejoice with Chloe as she takes this vital step of obedience. We will gather at the home of Pastor Phil and Myrna (4997 Bassett Rd., Atwater) at 6:30. Oh and BTW, if others need to be baptized, you’ll have the opportunity this evening! See you there?

Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?

That’s right… it’s PRAYER MEETING TIME. Don’t let summer keep you from joining us for prayer meeting every Wednesday at 6:30. There is nothing more important, so don’t let Satan tell you otherwise. We curtail Sunday School in the summer, but Prayer Meeting continues. So join us this evening at 6:30 for just one hour. You won’t regret it.

WOW – What a load of questions!!!!!

This Wednesday evening at 6:30, the elders will present the next installment in our “Bible Talks with the Elders” series. We’ve received 31 questions this time! We won’t be able to answer them all in this installment, but we’ll do our best to hit a good number of them, and save the rest of the next installment in June. And believe me, these question this time are really doozies! You won’t want to miss out, so join us at 6:30.…

To Pray or not to Pray

Don’t forget brothers and sisters – NO PRAYER MEETING THIS EVENING… NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER tomorrow, Thursday, from 5-7PM. Drop in anytime and pray for as long as you want. Our country needs prayer!

They Ate!

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, (Acts 2:46 NKJV) That was the early church, and guess what? We will follow in their footsteps Saturday (April 23rd at 8AM) as we gather for Men’s Prayer Breakfast! Guys, this is not something you’ll want to miss – join us for great food and fellowship. Bring your Bibles and prayer requests, too, for…

Good Friday and Easter Sunday

The sanctuary is ready and decorated for Good Friday and Easter. I hope you will join us as we remember our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross on Good Friday. We’ll meet at 6:30 this evening for that service. Communion will be served. Then we’ll meet at our regular times on Sunday as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection – 9:30 for Sunday School and 10:30 for worship. A note about parking: The church lot remains in disarray due to our building project.…

Midweek and Weekend Update

It’s Easter weekend, and so our schedule changes a bit. There will be NO prayer meeting this evening (Wednesday). Good Friday service will be held on Friday (April 15th) at 6:30 PM. Communion will be served. Sunday School WILL meet on Sunday at 9:30 AM followed by our Easter Worship Service at 10:30 AM. Join us as we worship and serve our risen Savior!

Are You Ready?

On that first Palm Sunday, one of the messages embedded in Jesus’ triumphal ride through the Eastern Gate atop a donkey was, “Are you ready for the King?” We ask it still today as we await His second coming. “Are you ready for the King?” He’s coming, you know! This Lord’s Day we’ll remember Palm Sunday. Will you join us? Sunday School is at 9:30 Worship Service is at 10:30

Ready… Set… RESET!

Last week we had only a handful of people who attended prayer meeting. Let’s reset that this week and get back to normal. SO MUCH TO PRAY ABOUT! SO MANY WHO NEED PRAYER! Martyn Lloyd Jones said, “There is nothing that tells the truth about us as a Christian people so much as our prayer life.” And another said “Much prayer, much power. Little prayer, little power. No prayer, no power.” Let’s go for the power! Let’s have much prayer…
