Good Questions!

It’s the last Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for the monthly Bible Talk with the Elders, when we work through and attempt to answer questions people have about the Bible. Here are a few questions we will be talking about this evening: What does the Bible say about Christian tithing? Should a Christian tithe? What does the Bible say about dinosaurs? Are there dinosaurs in the Bible? What does the Bible say about drinking alcohol? Is…

TIME TO PACK!

This year’s Operation Christmas Child packing party is TOMORROW, Saturday, November 12th, starting at 10AM. Our goal this year is to pack at least 750 boxes, and we’re actually hoping to top 1000. Join us at 10. This is a wonderful ministry for all ages, from the smallest child to the oldest senior. All can be involved and get in on the rewards of sending a box of gifts, the most important of which is the gift of salvation, to…

Haven

Just a quick reminder that we serve at the Haven of Rest in Akron on the first Saturday of every month, feeding the homeless and needy. So that’s this Saturday, November 5. We meet at the Haven at 10AM. If you’ve never helped with rewarding ministry, give it a try. If you have questions, you can reach out to Paul Richards or Larry and Karen Cannon.

LAST CHANCE FOR 2022!

This Saturday, October 29th, starting at 4PM, will be the final Campfire Fellowship of the year at Johnson Acres (2509 New Milford Rd). Bring a dish to pass. Bring a chair to sit on. Bring fishing poles. Bring Corn hole sets and any other yard games you like. There will be games and activities for the kids, so bring them! We will have the world famous taco and nacho bar as the main course, and whatever delicious side dishes our…

Have A Question?

This Wednesday evening at 6:30, we will hold another of our Bible Talks With the Elders. These events are meant to be a means of digging deeper into God’s Word and the Christian faith. Questions are submitted in advance, or just asked during the event, and the pastors and elders do their best to try and answer them from the Bible. We have a couple of really good and timely questions that have been submitted this month. We could use…

THE BEST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH IS HERE!

Well, at least the best for the guys who attend Men’s Prayer Breakfasts! That’s right… it’s tomorrow, October 22nd, at 8:00AM in the new building. Food, Fun, Fellowship, and Feasting on God’s Word. Believe me, if you’ve not attended one before, you don’t want to miss it. And if you have attended it before, I know you’re adding an AMEN to what I just said. Come early and get a seat!

It’s been a while now!

Since some of you attended prayer meeting, that is. Now that our building is completed and we are getting back in the swing of things here at FBC, we need to boost our efforts at prayer meeting. I’m convinced that what God has done here has been a response to the faithful prayers from you, His people. If you haven’t made it in a while, let me encourage you to join us tonight for prayer meeting. We meet at 6:30,…

A Quote Worth Cogitating

“The thermometer of a church is its prayer meeting.” (Vance Havner) See you at 6:30 this evening?

What About???

Do you have questions about God’s Word? How about current events and how they fit into the Scriptures? How about anything? If you have questions you’d like to get the elders’ and pastors’ input on, bring them to prayer meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, July 27th at 6:30 PM) and we’ll do our best to work through them. Of course, we’ll also be praying, so bring your praises and requests as well!
