My Favorite Once a Year Post!

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. (I Timothy 1:15 NKJV) I’ve published this same blog posting for the last few years. Each year it gets more precious. Praise the Lord. It was May 3, 1970. Praying Like Every Week, But Different!

Our normally scheduled Wednesday prayer meeting will not be held this week, but will be replaced by our Thursday observance of the National Day of Prayer. The church will be open from 5-9 PM for any who wish to come and pray. There is no program or service, just an open church and some materials to guide you in praying for our country. Samuel said, “Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you…” (1 Samuel 12:23a)

A Prayer for Everyday

But He had already answered it in the previous chapter when He prayed for His disciples, and by extension for you and me, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17) Whatever else we do here at…
