Weekend Happenings!
There is some great stuff happening this weekend: Saturday at 8:00 AM. Great food, good fellowship, and a time of Bible and prayer. What’s not to love about prayer breakfasts? Final one of the year – Saturday at 6:30 PM. Corn hole tournament, and the usual array of games and fun. Bring your corn hole boards if you have them, and something to share food-wise, and your favorite board or card games. Let’s make this last one…

Easter Flowers
Just a quick reminder that if you want to order Easter flowers to help decorate the sanctuary for Resurrection Sunday, the orders are due this coming Lord’s Day (the 19th). Make checks payable to Wise Greenhouse. After the services on Easter, the flowers are yours’ to keep, so you can provide a bit of beauty for the Lord’s house, and for your own house as well!

Two Big Announcements!
It’s Bowling Day! – The FBC Annual Bowling party is today, Saturday, from 2-4 PM at Kent Lanes (located at 1524 S Water St, Kent, OH 44240). AND… It’s Time Change Day! – Remember to set those clocks ahead tonight before retiring, so you don’t miss church tomorrow!

It Is Hard To Enter
A word from Elizabeth Elliot today: The kingdom of God stands over against all other kingdoms—that is, over against all other authorities, sources of power, objects of trust. It is hard to enter the kingdom of God—not because an angel is set to keep us out, not because God would surround Himself with a highly selected elite, but because the condition for admittance is renunciation of all other kingdoms. The wealthy stranger who ran up to Jesus and knelt and…
Penultimate Chance!
Don’t forget the next to the last game night is this evening at 6:30. We will have the pickle ball court running in The Commons and the game tables and munchies in Fellowship Hall. Don’t miss it!

Soup’s On!
This coming Lord’s Day is one of our favorite days of the year – RED HEART SUNDAY. It’s just a silly thing we do to liven up the dreary winter of February. Everybody wears something red, we enjoy some nice special music, and we have some fellowship afterwards. This year, we’ll have the American Heritage Girls and Trail Life Boys troops with us, and after the service we will enjoy a soup and salad luncheon. We could use a bit…

Missing Church?
I read an interesting quote by Donald Whitney. He wrote, “If you can miss church and not miss church, then something is absent from your heart and faith.” Ponder on that for a while. It’s actually quite profound, and interesting. And then I hope you’ll join us for worship on Sunday! Sunday School starts at 9:30 and Worship begins at 10:30. If you’ve been missing church, make this the Sunday you get back in the groove.

What a Wonderful Way to Start!
So said our elder, Don Richards, when replying to a question about whether we would have full services on New Year’s Day. Of course the answer is “YES” – all systems are go to start the year out in the Lord’s house. Sunday School will meet as normal at 9:30, as will our normal worship service, starting at 10:30. Don’s entire comment was, “What a wonderful way to start a new year. In the Lord’s house with my brothers and…

A Quiet Week
On this week between the holidays, we’ll be taking a break from a couple of things. Men’s Bible Study for this Tuesday is cancelled, as is the Wednesday Prayer Meeting. Enjoy the week of recovery from Christmas and anticipation of the New Year!

It’s Christmas Time!
Christmas Eve services – 6:30 PM. Music, communion, candle light. Christmas Day services – 10:30 AM, simple carols and the story of Christmas. This service will be no longer than an hour, so give the Savior that hour and celebrate His birth in His house! (NOTE that there is no Sunday School this week.) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11 KJV)
