Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. (Proverbs 14:4 KJV)
That verse reminds me that if you’re going to get things done for Jesus, sometimes it’s going to get messy! And this is a messy busy fascinating weekend coming up.
Operation Christmas Child collection week is in full swing. There are boxes everywhere! And more coming in through Sunday when collection ends and we load the final boxes in the trailer and send them off.
Saturday starts with Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 8:00 followed by our Thanksgiving Basket packing and distribution at 10:00. Following that we’ll be setting up for our Missions Emphasis Sunday.
On Missions Emphasis Sunday we’ll hear from missionaries Bob Mach (Ivory Coast, Africa), Steve Oswald (Word of Life), Andrew Kohler (Ireland), and Lauren Woolum (missionary to Kent State University). We’ll have missionaries sharing in both the Sunday School and morning worship hours, and then afterwards we will enjoy a “Meet the Missionaries” meal in Fellowship Hall.
Messy weekend! But think of the fruit from such a messy weekend!
