It’s here! The weekend we celebrate Old Fashioned Sunday has arrived.
Today there will be a flurry of activity as setup and prep goes into high gear. Then tomorrow, it will all start about 9 with the arrival of old tractors and old cars. Then:
9:30 – We gather for Sunday School per usual.
10:30 – Our Old Fashioned Worship service begins, with special musical guests “The Songsters”. We’ll recognize the peoples’ choice for best old fashioned outfit, and also the winners of our annual pie baking competition. Of course, as is always the case, we will look to God’s Word and consider His old fashioned and never changing gospel!
NOON – We will head to our beautiful new Commons area for a wonderful dinner together. And after eating is done there will be activities on the lawn, a silent auction and even a dunk tank. Proceeds for the latter go to our Operation Christmas Child ministry.
Invite friends and neighbors. Whoever brings the most first time visitors might even get to toss a pie at a certain someone.
