FIRST BIG DAY OF 2024
Sunday, January 7th, will be a big day. We will hear a brief update from our missionary with Trans World Radio, Tim McElhaney. Then, after the worship service, we will hold our annual business meeting, presenting the financial report from 2023, the budget for 2024, the officers selected for 2024, a summary of 2023 accomplishments and activities, as well as our goals for 2024. It’s the last Wednesday of the month, when we give a portion of prayer meeting time over to Q&A. Missing the Green?
This time of year it’s easy to miss the green grass and green trees. But wait… there’s plenty of green tomorrow morning during our Hanging of the Greens activity at FBC! Come and get your fill of green! We’ll meet at 9AM and probably be done in an hour or so. Many hands make light work! And you’ll have the joy of knowing you helped beautify the Lord’s house for His birthday celebration.
Week of Thankfulness
It’s Thanksgiving week, and I hope and pray all reading this truly rejoice in all God has done and does do and will do in the future. Paul’s words to the Thessalonians ought be on all our hearts and minds as we navigate this week, “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Campfire Fellowship (last one of the year) is tomorrow at the Weber’s, from 4:30 until the cows come home. It will be held rain or shine. Right now the rain is supposed to end in the morning tomorrow, so we should be good. Remember the Campfire Fellowship Drill – bring a chair on which to sit yourself, and a side dish to share.
