Prayer (Page 3)

Fireproof!

Last Wednesday we were supposed to talk about the Fireproof scroll, but due to a last minute conflict, had to change our plan. So let’s talk about it tonight in prayer meeting! Join us at 6:30 for fellowship, God’s precious Word, and a short time of prayer for one another. Has there ever been a time when we needed Christians praying more than now?

Only 3 More Chances!

Did you make a resolution for 2019 to start attending prayer meetings? Well, if you haven’t yet made good on that, you’ve only got 3 opportunities left! We won’t have prayer meeting on Christmas Day, so that leaves only tonight , the 11th and the 18th. Even if you didn’t make any such resolution, we’d love to have you join us this evening for prayer. We’ll learn about the Fireproof Scroll tonight. Remember that you can pray aloud or silently.…

Now we praise… and now we pray…

Praise God for each person who packed a box this year, and for all those who labored so hard to make this our biggest Operation Christmas Child year yet. Great is your reward, brothers and sisters! GREAT is your reward. Rejoice in your labor for Jesus and pray He uses it gloriously now for the kingdom. May every single one of these 1677 boxes take the gospel to the heart of not only a child, but that child’s family, and…

The Church’s High Privilege

“Men ought always to pray.” (Luke 18:1) Our brother Charles Spurgeon had some thoughts on this verse: Jesus has sent his church into the world on the same errand upon which he himself came, and this mission includes intercession. It is the church’s high privilege to pray with acceptance. The door of grace is always open for her petitions, and they never return empty-handed. The veil was rent for her, the blood was sprinkled upon the altar for her, God…

Hey!!!

What happens every Wednesday evening at 6:30 here at Friendship Bible Church? That’s right! Join us for Prayer Meeting this evening. You will not regret it! It’s the power hour. It’s throne time. It’s “meet God” time. It’s the most important thing we do as a church! And you can be part of it. See you at 6:30!

Macro or Micro?

That’s the question for prayer meeting this Wednesday. Want to know more? Join us at 6:30 as we open the word, fellowship with one another, and pray together. You need not pray aloud. God hears whether silent or aloud, so just come… join us… pray with us… and fear not that you will be called upon if you don’t want to speak aloud. Our midweek prayer meetings are vital to the health of our church. We had 2 men trust…

Prayer Meetings Are Wonderful

You don’t want to miss out on this wonderful opportunity. Prayer meetings are a time when EVERYBODY, regardless of their gifts or talents or abilities, can serve in a vital and mighty and awesome way. Whether you pray aloud or sit quietly and pray, you are personally carrying the needs of your brothers and sisters… of your church and church family… of your nation and community… of your world… to the very throne room of God and laying it at…

Schedule Changes This Week

What a great prophecy conference we just enjoyed! Praise God for raising up men like Dr. Jimmy DeYoung! And praise Him for giving so many a hunger for these truths, for our attendance and participation was wonderful. Now that the conference is concluded, though, let me remind you of some changes to the schedule for the rest of this week: Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting is cancelled this week. HOWEVER, the Whitely family would like to invite all willing to come…

Two Huge Things…

… to pray for, that is. We have prayer meeting tonight, and there are two very big… HUGE… requests we’ll be bringing before the throne. And as always, there are a lot of other things, too. Bring your additions to the list and join us at 6:30 for prayer meeting this evening. Never longer than an hour!

No Prayer Meeting Tonight

Vacation Bible School is in full swing, so we’re taking a break from prayer meeting. Wherever you happen to be, though, whether here helping with VBS, or at home or work or wherever… pause for a minute this evening and pray!
