Prayer (Page 2)
… to pray for, that is. We have prayer meeting tonight, and there are two very big… HUGE… requests we’ll be bringing before the throne. And as always, there are a lot of other things, too. Bring your additions to the list and join us at 6:30 for prayer meeting this evening. Never longer than an hour!
Vacation Bible School is in full swing, so we’re taking a break from prayer meeting. Wherever you happen to be, though, whether here helping with VBS, or at home or work or wherever… pause for a minute this evening and pray!
Our normally scheduled Wednesday prayer meeting will not be held this week, but will be replaced by our Thursday observance of the National Day of Prayer. The church will be open from 5-9 PM for any who wish to come and pray. There is no program or service, just an open church and some materials to guide you in praying for our country. Come for as little a period of time as you want, or as much. Stop in on…
Fred Edward’s nephew, Bill Wilkinson, will join us during prayer meeting to share his ministry in remote Alaska. As always, we’ll leave ample time for prayer, so bring your prayer requests and join us as we pray for one another. I came across a verse that greatly convicted me this morning. Samuel said, “Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you…” (1 Samuel 12:23a)
Lord, grant that I may tell to others as long as I live, that thou art a sin-pardoning God! (from The Valley of Vision)
