Those Who Received Him

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12 NKJV). Salvation is a free gift to all who believe and receive.

He Came To His Own

He came to His own… (John 1:11). The baby of Christmas was and is God, who took the initiative and came to us, because we are His and He wants a relationship with us.

Three Arrows in Satan’s Quiver (Arrow # 3)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 NKJV). Satan wants our attention to be on what we get out of the relationship, rather than on serving in the relationship.

Hezekiah’s Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day

Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD, You alone.” (Isaiah 37:20 NKJV) Seeking God and His glory in the midst of trial, was key to Hezekiah’s deliverance.

All Your Need… All His Riches

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Paul was grateful for their gift, but even more for the rewards it accrued to their account, and reminded them that they could never out give God.

A Right Mind

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things (Philippians 4:8 NKJV). Christians should think right thoughts, and those thoughts should lead to right action.
