Sermons from September 2019

Where Do You Live?
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. (Philippians 3:20-21 NKJV)
The Christian’s home is not of this world, nor is the Christian’s prize. We are citizens of heaven, waiting for the Savior of heaven to come for us.

Pressing Toward the Goal
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14 NKJV).
As we run the race for Christ, we need to look forward, not backward, and strain toward the finish line.

The Only Thing That Matters
But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ (Philippians 3:7 NKJV).
Knowing and trusting Christ is the only thing that matters.

Weighed in the Balances
This sermon was originally preached by Billy Graham in London, March 27, 1954. It was preached at FBC for Old Fashioned Sunday, 2019.

Who Can We Look Up To?
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such men in esteem (Philippians 2:29 NKJV). Timothy and Epaphroditus are role models all Christians should admire and emulate.
