BIG WEEKEND

A couple of really cool things are happening this weekend at FBC:

  1. The first Campfire Fellowship is happening on Saturday at 5PM. These things are always wonderful opportunities to get to know the church family better in a “non-churchy” setting. Bring a lawn chair a dish to pass if you’re able (if not don’t worry for there’s always plenty of food), and plan on having a fun filled and food filled time with your brothers and sisters in Christ. We will gather at the home of Dave and Julie Timura, 9725 Minyoung Rd., Ravenna. If you get lost and need directions, Dave’s number is 330-687-1287. Timuras have a pool, so if so inclined, come prepared for a dip!
  2. This Sunday, we will be privileged during worship to hear from Jen and Jason Burtz and their children Renea, Clara, Ambrose, and Alyse. They are current participants in both Trail Life and American Heritage Girls and will share their experiences, as well as help answer questions you might have about these upcoming ministries.

Remember, of course, that our summer schedule is in affect. One worship service at 9:30, with no Sunday School until September.

A couple sad things are also happening in the next few days:

  1. Our sister Janice Adelman went home to be with the Lord. Her funeral will take place on Monday.
  2. Our brother Brian Well’s dad Roy also went home to the Lord. His funeral will take place on Tuesday.

Pray for those affected in these homegoings!

Finally, please remember that the last Wednesday of the month, June 29th, we will hold our Bible Talk with the Elders, and do our best to answer whatever questions might come up. If you have questions about the faith… about the world we live in… about the Bible… about the church… about anything, basically, come armed with those questions and join us for a time of Q&A. We start at 6:30.
