Because of the pandemic this year, I elected to cancel our normal Christmas Eve candlelight services. Those services normally draw a large crowd, and most of that crowd is from outside our normal church family. Out of an abundance of caution, therefore, I cancelled the normal Christmas Eve candlelight services this year.
Some have expressed chagrin over that decision, and our awesome worship leader Beth came up with a compromise. We will use the prayer meeting this week, which is always a small group, for the candlelight service. She and the praise team will provide some of the beautiful Christmas music that was in the works for Christmas Eve, and we will sing some Christmas carols, and enjoy the candlelight time at the end.
Please join us if you’d like, at 6:30 tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. I’m not advertising this to the community this year, as we’d like to keep it small enough to allow for a safe gathering. But church family – join us for a more intimate, but no less blessed, Christmas Eve Eve celebration.
