Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19 NKJV). We are called to FOLLOW, and watch as HE MAKES US into fishers of men.
Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2). Start the new year with prayer.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Paul was grateful for their gift, but even more for the rewards it accrued to their account, and reminded them that they could never out give God.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV). Worrying about nothing, and praying about everything, brings the peace of God to our lives.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy… (Philippians 1:3-4 NKJV). We experience joy in Christ when we praise Him and when we pray.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me (John 10:27 NKJV). Following Christ does not make one a Christian, but following Christ demonstrates one IS a Christian.
