New Books, Assembly Days, Etc.
The pastor’s latest book is out and available on Amazon. com. It contains 433 pages of his thoughts on the gospel of Mark. There are a limited number of copies available through the church for his cost ($7.50). Operation Christmas Child activities are in full swing this week and throughout November. Tomorrow (Friday, November 1) is the first of three Assembly Parties at the church. We will be assembling shoeboxes, and gifts to put in those boxes. Fun and fellowship…
First Time!
Last Sunday we baptized. This coming Sunday, guess what? We’re baptizing again. That’s the first time we’ve baptized two Sundays in a row. Praise the Lord. That’s not all that’s happening this weekend, of course: Saturday at 8:00 AM – Men’s Prayer breakfast in Fellowship Hall. No man in his right mind would miss this! Lord’s Day Happenings
This Lord’s Day is a big one. It all starts with Sunday School at 9:30. Our worship service follows at 10:30, but it’s going to be a special one. We’ve got several who will be following the Lord in believer’s baptism at the conclusion of the service! We might have a baby dedication to boot! Are You Ready for the Weekend?
A ton of stuff is happening this weekend! Saturday, 4:00 PM, Trunk or Treat at the church for our children, grandchildren and friends. Decorate your vehicle / trunk, bring a bunch of treats, and come share with the kids. Plan to come earlier than 4, so your vehicle is decorated and ready to go by 4:00! Yes… that’s right. The date we men have been waiting for all summer is finally upon us! This coming Saturday morning at 8:00, we shall once again rejoice to attend Men’s Prayer Breakfast! Not only is the food to die for, the fellowship, prayer, sharing, testimonies, and short message from God’s Word are awesome, too. Join us at 8:00. Bring your Bible. Bring a hearty appetite. Don’t forget some important stuff happening this weekend: Campfire Fellowship – Saturday at 5:30 at the Weber home. Great food, great fun, great fellowship, great in just every way it can be!
