Loaded and Ready to Go!

The trailer is full, and our driver, Brother Don Ellis, is ready to roll. One last thing is needed, besides lots of prayers for God to use this effort for His glory and to help hurting people: we need one or two brothers or sisters who would be willing to travel down with Don and help him unload. Let me (Pastor) know if you’re able to help with that!

Let’s Load!

We will be loading the trailer with what’s been collected for Kentucky on Wednesday evening after prayer meeting. If you are willing to help with that effort, please plan on joining us. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 every Wednesday evening. Due to the vast number of donations that have come in, our original destination site can handle no more donations, so we’ve changed to a different drop site, and will be driving there next week, rather than Thursday of this…

Kentucky Needs Are MET.

Praise God for such a giving and generous church. You have met and exceeded all expectations for this Kentucky relief project. In addition to the mountain of supplies sitting in our foyer and our trailer, you have given over $5000 in monetary donations, which will all go to either the purchase of supplies to add to our load, or to one of the various financial aid funds that are set up by the agencies helping in Kentucky, such as Samaritan’s…

CHRISTMAS WEEKEND UPDATE!

Tonight, Christmas Eve Carols and Candlelight Service at 6:30. It’s a busy evening, I know, but carve out an hour to remember the reason. You’ll be glad you did. Sunday, Sunday School at 9:30 and Worship at 10:30. It’s the day after Christmas and many will be recovering from the previous days festivities. Don’t neglect worship, though. You’ll be glad you came!

Kentucky Update

Several things to note regarding our upcoming trip to Kentucky with supplies and aid for tornado victims: If you want to give financially to this project, please make the check out to the church and note in the memo that it is for Kentucky or Tornado relief. Please try and have all donations in to the church by this Sunday, December 26th, so that we have time to purchase supplies with it. If you want to purchase supplies on your…

Christmas Kindness

On Saturday, December 18th at 10AM, we will pack and distribute care packages for our widows and widowers. If you’d like to earn some heavenly rewards you can join us to pack the boxes and then distribute them. See you at 10AM in Fellowship Hall?

Let’s Go To Kentucky!

When the church in Jerusalem was hurting, other churches gave and sent supplies to help. Currently, there are many people in the Kentucky area who are desperately in need of help following the terrible tornadoes that devastated their homes and towns. We are planning to help by filling the church trailer with needed supplies and taking it to them. Here’s how you can participate: Purchase needed supplies and bring them to the church. See the list below for the supplies…

Prayer Meeting Changes for 12/15

Hey Prayer Warriors, Based on the level of disruption in our sanctuary and fellowship hall this week, we’re going to have to do something different for prayer meeting. Pastor Phil and I have discussed this and here’s what we’d like to suggest you do. Invite somebody to your home, or accept an invitation to somebody’s home, on Wednesday evening. If you were invited, take some cookies or munchies. If you invited somebody, put the coffee on. Read Psalm 1 together,…

Peace Has Come!

You know what this coming Saturday is? Well let me tell you, it’s not something you’ll want to miss. This Saturday, December 4th, at 6:30 PM the FBC Praise Team, Praise Band, and Choir will share this year’s Christmas cantata entitled “Peace Has Come!” The music is beautiful and the message is wonderful. Please consider joining us on Saturday, which will be your only opportunity to participate in the cantata this year, as we’ll only present it one time. And…
