And End! And a Beginning!

We’ve made it to the last day of 2019, and tomorrow we’ll venture into the waters of 2020. We’ve so much to be thankful for, and so much to look forward to. My prayer is that in 2020 we draw closer and closer to Jesus, growing in grace each day… that our love and care for one another increases and abounds… that the gifts He has entrusted us with, we use more and more for His glory and His church.…

Christmas Time Is Here!

We aren’t having quite as many Christmas activities this year at FBC, so don’t miss out on the ones we’re having! First, join us Sunday for Sunday School and Worship at 9:30 and 10:30 respectively. Sunday worship will be a special Christmas service with special music by our “pick up” choir. Then, Sunday evening the WOW gals are hosting a Christmas Caroling time at two local nursing homes. Anybody can participate, and the more who do the better we’ll be…

Praying Down Thunderbolts

Ever wanted to do that? Things are going on in our nation today that cause many to think that way. Is it right? How should we pray when we perceive terrible evil seeming to get away unscathed? How do we pray for it’s victims? How do we pray for those who perpetrate it? Join us for prayer meeting this evening at 6:30 as we look at what the Bible says about “praying down thunder” on enemies.

Fireproof!

Last Wednesday we were supposed to talk about the Fireproof scroll, but due to a last minute conflict, had to change our plan. So let’s talk about it tonight in prayer meeting! Join us at 6:30 for fellowship, God’s precious Word, and a short time of prayer for one another. Has there ever been a time when we needed Christians praying more than now?

One Minute After You Die?

We’ll be meeting this coming Sunday evening, December 8, at 6:30 pm to enjoy fellowship, eat yummies, and talk about this month’s book selection, “One Minute After You Die,” by Erwin W. Lutzer. Join us! Even if you haven’t read the book, you’ll enjoy the time together. And who knows? Maybe you’ll get sucked into the joy of reading and read next month’s selection with us! Meet at the Johnson home at 6:30.

Only 3 More Chances!

Did you make a resolution for 2019 to start attending prayer meetings? Well, if you haven’t yet made good on that, you’ve only got 3 opportunities left! We won’t have prayer meeting on Christmas Day, so that leaves only tonight , the 11th and the 18th. Even if you didn’t make any such resolution, we’d love to have you join us this evening for prayer. We’ll learn about the Fireproof Scroll tonight. Remember that you can pray aloud or silently.…

All You Christmas Decorating Fiends…

It’s YOUR TIME! Some of you couldn’t wait until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas music and decorating. Some of you were itching to put up your tree before Halloween had passed. And I know of at least one particular establishment in the area that had Christmas trees in place in AUGUST!!! So, those of you who so love decorating, come and help us decorate the Lord’s house this Saturday, November 30, at 1:00. The “Hanging of the Greens” goes…

Euphorbia pulcherrima

Or… as it’s commonly called – POINSETTIA. If you’d like to purchase one or more to help decorate the church, you need to do so no later than this coming Lord’s Day (December 2nd). Once Christmas services are over, the flowers you purchased are yours to keep.  Order forms are in the church foyer:

Now we praise… and now we pray…

Praise God for each person who packed a box this year, and for all those who labored so hard to make this our biggest Operation Christmas Child year yet. Great is your reward, brothers and sisters! GREAT is your reward. Rejoice in your labor for Jesus and pray He uses it gloriously now for the kingdom. May every single one of these 1677 boxes take the gospel to the heart of not only a child, but that child’s family, and…

Home Stretch!!!!
